The
Panel-Tran Zone Power Center is a fully enclosed UL-3R and is
designed for indoor/outdoor applications. The Panel-Trans can be
installed in a wide variety of environmental conditions. A 180
degrees C , U.L. insulation system is used. It is electrostatically
shielded to protect transient voltage at no extra cost.
Panel-Tran can be installed where 120, 208, or 240 volt branch
circuits are required. The most common application is vending
machine areas, factory test set-ups, office buildings, mining
applications, assembly lines, light industrial areas, just to name a
few. Panel-Tran is used where your branch circuits may require
future change or expansion.
The advantages of using the Panel-Tran is that it eliminates the tangled
masses of secondary circuit feeders and gives your systems new
flexibility. You can take full advantage of putting power where the
problem is by using your high voltage bus. The Panel-Tran saves you
money, space and keeps your operations flexible.
The power panel assembly will accommodate one-inch, 1,2 or 3 pole,
common trip, duplex secondary branch circuit breakers and ground
fault circuit breakers. The Panel-Tran comes fully equipped with
primary and secondary main circuit breakers per UL and NEC
requirements. A main breaker protects the transformers and acts as a
disconnect device, which has a high interrupting capacity to handle
fault conditions. A secondary main breaker
between the transformer and the panel is required by N.E.C. A one-snap-in
circuit breaker, regular or duplex, is not provided with the
Panel-Tran unit and must be field installed. A secondary ground is
provided within the wiring compartment for accepting your branch
unit. All of the breakers are located in the lower section of the
Panel-Tran and are protected by a hinged, removable front cover,
which can be padlocked for safety. All Panel-Tran connections will
accept copper or aluminum conductor.
